Our Story

Bangla-Den Sourcing (Pvt.) Limited is a Bangladesh-based apparel sourcing and buying house connecting international brands and retailers with the country’s garment manufacturing capabilities.

Our journey began in 2010, when two Bangladeshi graduates of Lund University, Sweden, returned home with an international outlook and a vision to build an apparel sourcing business. Recognising the opportunities in Bangladesh’s growing garment industry, they established Bangladesh Fashion Source Limited in partnership with two experienced garment professionals.

With their European education, professional networks, and understanding of international business, the founders initially focused on the European market. Their early success in Denmark and Germany laid the foundation for the company’s growth and international relationships.

In 2016, the company adopted the name Bangla-Den Sourcing, reflecting its established business connections with Denmark and its broader ambitions in international apparel sourcing. During this period, two of the original founding directors pursued independent business ventures, while Mr. Assaduzzaman and Mr. Asif Basar continued to develop Bangla-Den.

Both continued their academic journeys alongside their business careers, subsequently completing doctoral studies in the Netherlands and Belgium, respectively. Their combined experience in international business, academic research, and Bangladesh’s apparel industry continues to inform the company’s approach to sourcing and customer partnerships.

Today, Bangla-Den Sourcing brings together international business understanding, local manufacturing knowledge, and a customer-focused approach to apparel sourcing.
